Oculus Rift S (2019) by Oculus Facebook provides a rather high-quality VR experience and is the most affordable
PC-powered VR headset. Yet the cost raises considering that it must be tethered to a suitable PC. It incorporates
360° accurate motion tracking sensors, allowing a relatively high freedom of movement (the headset cable is 5
meters long) and mini-audio speakers, facilitating the interaction of the player with the surroundings. Oculus Rift
S’ expanding Apps Library includes job simulators and educational apps that can be used to prepare SEN learners
for WBL experiences even if they are not ad hoc for this target group (limit) yet (possibility). This device lends
itself to individual or small groups training sessions as it requires enough hardware and space for mobility. Despite
the limits, teachers and trainers can find apps and creative strategies to allow several learners to play in group.

OPPORTUNITIES
ple with low educational/IT skills
Since it is not connected to a PC, you can move around the room easily with
Oculus Quest. This has advantages when you want to simulate and train manual
activities, for example.
! Oculus is owned by Facebook, so privacy and data protection could become an
issue in the future
THREATS ! Due to the high mobility of people using the headsets, it is essential to take ac-
cident prevention measures (comprehensive instructions to users before the
start of sessions, ensuring adequate usage areas, etc.).
