• Only use apps in the training that have a real and relevant learning effect for the target
group! It is the content, that finally counts no the method applied!!!
• If the apps do not have a clear connection to VET or WBL at first glance - try to make one!
• It is also advisable to work together with companies and future employers; they can best
assess which apps meet their demands best - and then perhaps also help with the financ-
ing!
Recommendations: 10) Mobility issues: VR seems perfect for acquiring mobility skills at first glance
- but watch out, it could also be a "false friend". Seeing virtual places alone is not learning!
• As mobility is a transversal theme, it can be better applied to different professions and
learner groups, but it would still be better if the profile of SEN learners in particular could
be defined.
• But it is precisely here that great care must be taken in the selection of apps, because
they must generate as much added value as possible for the learners - just because you
have visited a jungle, an ocean or space via VR once or twice, you have not yet built-up
mobility skills.
• The apps in the E-Compendium for foreign language learning will certainly be used here,
but the partnership still needs to find some that might deal with travel organisation, for-
eign countries/cultures, intercultural and indifferences, and other issues relevant for mo-
bility.
Of course, our recommendations are only of a general nature and far from complete. The field of
VR, its possible applications and the possible learner groups are far too multi-layered and extensive
for that. But with these considerations we try to make it easier for those who have had little or no
experience with VR but would like to take this step.
